Sustainable British fashion brand Cucumber Clothing is launching a loan-to-own initiative to increase the circularity of its pieces and reduce waste. The technical 37.5 volcanic material fabric used in each item is designed to keep you cool and hydrated, as well as being soft and buttery to the touch.
Consumers can test drive up to two pieces on loan. They simply need to e-mail the brand with their desired style, colour, and size. The brand will send them an invoice for 1/3 of the total amount. Once that is done, the item will be shipped.
An invoice for the third payment will be sent one week before due. If the customer falls in love with the item, they can then pay the final third to make it a permanent piece. Cucumber also states that consumers have the option to e-mail Cucumber for a return label at no cost.
Any pieces returned will be placed in Cucumber’s preloved section for shoppers to purchase at a reduced cost. By allowing you to try our loan-to own collection until you find the perfect piece for you, we want to ensure that every piece you end up with in your wardrobe is a forever piece.
“We also believe that by allowing women to trial our pieces, they will fall in love with the Cucumber collection and will keep coming back for more.”, says the brand founder.
