British bootmaker Dr Martens has teamed up with Japanese sneaker shop Atmos for a second time in 2021. The result is an anime-inspired, premium version of the utilitarian “Tarik”, boot. It draws inspiration from the strong visuals of streetwear as well as the striking, arresting graphics of Japanese anime.
Combining streetwear style and pragmatic design, the Tarik Zip Atmos boot is made from smooth leather and velvet upper with a PU padded collar and a brand new outsole. Dr Martens integrated an overlayed zip featuring houndstooth detailing, contrasting ski hooks, and silver eyelets for the first time. Complete the look with Dr Martens’ iconic yellow welt stitching.
The collection drops on 21st August and will be available at the official Dr Martens website and at select partners. The shoe is available for purchase at 130 US Dollars (109 British Pounds).
