In a campaign to support the launch of the new Nike Air VaporMax, sports fashion retailer JD has announced its new #JDVaporMaxShuffle initiative, an augmented reality shoe try-on. This partnership was made possible by TikTok’s Creative Lab. Shoppers and fans can try the new style in three colours using the 3D AR Branded Effect.
This isn’t the first technology enhanced move by the sportswear giant JD. The retailer also launched an AR feature in its app last year that enabled customers to easily measure their shoes using just a click. This feature made it easier to order shoes online, with over 1,000 being sold.
In addition to the visual elements of the challenge, JD and Nike have come together to release an exclusive music track to accompany the videos. You can use the hashtag #JDVaporMaxShuffle to dance in the AR shoes. There is also an incentive to win a year supply of Nike trainers.
