Venice to Treat Tourists like Cattle According To The Latest Change

Venice is known for its beauty and luxury. But it’s now fighting back. After many years of discussion (and tourists being punished for bad behavior within the city walls), Venice has decided to end the nonsense and charge all tourists an entry fee.

There will potentially also be turnstiles at the gates and requirements for advance reservations. They will not be charged an entry fee for hotels that are subject to tax and not Airbnbs.

Earlier this year Venice banned cruise ships from its historic centre. It’s not about money. New York City and San Francisco both require proof of vaccination to be able to participate in indoor activities such as dining or using the gym. Los Angeles will require proof of vaccination for larger gatherings than 1,000.
