Gardur believes that reduction starts in the design phase. Optimized collections that are customer-focused result in less production and less consumption of resources.
The transport routes to our production facilities are efficient, sustainable, and short because of their location. Intelligent logistics management ensures that there are as few empty runs possible. Computer-aided layerpattern optimization and digital development processes in design department reduce material waste and maximize efficiency.
Gardeur is committed to the use of recycled materials. We use recycled cotton from cut rests and leftovers from garments that are not usable or from yarn or fabric production. We also reuse recycled polyester mainly from PET bottles and other plastic waste. This prevents them from ending up in landfills. Our own purification plant cleans the water used for the final process and returns it to its natural cycle.
We are not only concerned about a pleasing design and good quality, but we also consider responsible cultivation methods and environmentally friendly materials to be of great importance. Organic cotton is grown in controlled organic conditions and is fair traded. There are no pesticides, fertilisers, genetically modified seeds, or fertilizers. Healthy soil allows for water-saving cultivation. Gardeur supports social projects in the growing areas by using certified cotton BCI (Better Cotton Initiative).
Better for the environment, farmers and their families, and better for future generations.
