Roberto Cavalli announced the launch Cavalli Tower in Dubai. This skyscraper is a 70-story tall structure that was built in partnership with DAMAC Properties, a global real estate developer based in Dubai. The brand’s new tower is made up of 485 units.
“This is a thrilling chapter for the iconic Italian fashion label, and I’m thrilled to be launching Cavalli Tower just a couple of days before Milan Fashion Week, to illustrate the fashion legends rebirth,” Hussain Sajwani (owner of Cavalli and founder of DAMAC Properties) said in a statement.
“I am determined to rebuild the Cavalli brand. To this end, I have invested in a talented, internationally-respected design team. We are aiming to relaunch in key markets. In the past 18 months, we have signed up 5 stores and franchise partners in Europe and the Middle East. In the next three to six month, we plan to open a Miami store. This will signal our relaunch in the North American market.” Sajwani said that women’swear will continue to be the most popular, and that we are expanding accessories, footwear, and menswear.
Cavalli was purchased by the global businessman in late 2019, through his private investment firm DICO Group. He had the ambition of revitalizing the iconic Italian fashion brand. Roberto Cavalli’s general manager Ennio Fontana said he was thrilled to partner with DAMAC, which has a track record of working closely with luxury fashion brands, on this unique project. Cavalli will be dominating the alluring world home decor in unrivalled style, he stated in a statement.
“We believe that the Cavalli trademark is synonymous with excellence. It has been crafted to the highest fashion standards and DAMAC Properties shares the same position in the luxury sector as the Italian Maison. Fontana said that Cavalli’s glamour is matched with DAMAC’s ability create luxury lifestyle experiences and residences. This makes for a perfect symbiotic relationship.”
The project’s development value is 545 million dollars. It is located in Dubai Marina, overlooking Palm Jumeirah Island. Construction of the tower will begin in 2022, and it is expected that the tower will be completed within four years.
Shaun Killa, an award-winning architect who also designed the Dubai Museum of the Future, divided the tower into three sections. The luxury section on the first floor is the luxury section, while the middle section is upper luxury. Residents can enjoy the super-luxury features and finishes on the top floors. Every unit has a guaranteed view of the sea. The luxury and upper-luxury sections have their own sky pools and sky gardens. While the super-luxury categories boast an infinity pool, a cigar lounge and a private pavilion, where residents can host private dinner parties or hire their own chefs, the super-luxury section has its own private pavilion. Each home in the super-luxury category will have its own pool or jacuzzi. All units, whether they are a 2-bedroom apartment or 5-bedroom duplex, also have balconies and high ceilings that promote views of the sea.
The tower’s Cavalli branded lobby, four stories high, leads to a skylight. The interiors have a luxurious feel and finish with marble flooring and wood parquet flooring. Cavalli Tower has a Malibu Bay-like pool in its gardens. It is modeled after the beach, down to the very smallest details. The pool, measuring 900 square meters in area, will have food outlets and lush green surroundings that create an oasis-like atmosphere.
Sajwani stated that Cavalli Tower is the embodiment of the Italian luxury legend’s global expansion in building sectors. Cavalli owner, my vision is to invent the brand in areas that it can expand. I will also continue Roberto Cavalli’s legacy of respecting its fashion traditions and artistic leanings.
This launch occurs at a moment when Dubai’s real estate market is recovering faster than expected. Total sales are forecast to reach 23 billion euros in 2021. The strong recovery is also evident in off-plan sales. These were negatively affected by COVID-19 due to a decline in travel and tourism. DAMAC expects Cavalli Tower to attract strong interest from Russian clients and European customers who are loyal Cavalli customers.
