Stockholm lifestyle brand Arket is opening its first China store today. It will bring its Scandinavian products to China for the first physical time since its launch online in autumn 2020.
The store is located in Beijing’s Taikoo Li sunlitun shopping center in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. It stocks a wide variety of fashion, accessories and interior items. The ground floor houses Arket’s Nordic-inspired coffee shop. It is stocked with specialty coffees from all over the globe.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt (Managing Director of Arket), stated in a statement that they were honored to have received such a warm reception in China in the past year. “We’ve been eager to meet our customers face-to-face and are thrilled to finally be able invite them into our world. We wanted to appeal to all senses so we designed the store to be warm and inviting, where you can relax and enjoy the moment.”
With two floors in minimalist Arket style, the Beijing store covers more than 860m2. You can find ready-to-wear as well as accessories, sportswear and travel items, kidswear, toys, baby products, kitchenware and home textiles, and even decorations.
The brand’s latest expansion into Asian markets is its launch. It follows two store openings in South Korea with one in Seoul.
