The Palais Galliera Paris fashion museum is turning the AZ Factory ‘Love Brings Love” catwalk tribute to Alber Elbaz’s contribution to fashion to Paris Fashion Week into an exhibit.
The tribute exhibition will be open from March 5 through July 10, and will include 45 fashion houses and designers who created Elbaz-inspired looks, such as Alexander McQueen and Balmain, Chloe and Dior, Christopher John Rogers and Gucci.
The collaborative ‘Love Brings Love’ show which took place on October 5, featured established and emerging designers, who each designed a “bespoke creation inspired by Alber’s legacy or a special take on an iconic silhouette”. These designs were displayed alongside those created by Elbaz’s AZ Factory studio staff.

Alexandre Samson will curate the one-of-a kind exhibition that will allow visitors to experience the complete catwalk experience. It will recreate the alphabetical order of the show, as well as the effects, music, and lights. This is to honor the late fashion designer Alber Elbaz, who died in April just after the launch his first collection for his new venture AZ Factory.
As a tribute to Elbaz’s legacy, each house was shown one look. The finale featured 25 looks taken from the AZ Factory studio.
Highlights include flowing dresses with long train, short dresses with ruffles, and dresses printed with drawings or portraits of Elbaz, such as Dries Van Noten’s design, which features the designer, and a flowing gown designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s creative Director, with cartoon-inspired sketches.
Other notable looks that will be featured include the Minnie Mouse look by Comme Des Garcons, Rosie Assoulin’s tuxedo gown, Valentino’s dramatic pink ruffle dress and Viktor and Rolf’s love heart coat.
The museum thanks AZ Factory for its “generous loans”, which the museum explained in a statement. The fashion venture that the designer died co-founded with Compagnie Financiere Richemont is what made the exhibition possible.
“Love Brings Love” – The Alber Elbaz tribute expo will open at Palais Galliera on March 5, the Paris fashion museum. Tickets are priced at 14 euros.
