Giorgio Armani, his country’s highest honor has been awarded to him with the Knight Grand Cross decorated in Grand Cordon. This honor is Italy’s highest civilian award and commemorates Armani’s nearly 60-year career as a fashion designer and his reputation as one of the most well-known luxury brands in the globe.
The award ceremony was held in Rome’s Palazzo del Quirinale, where Sergio Mattarella, Italy’s president, hosted the event. Armani stated that this honor has a special meaning to him in a post after the ceremony. It was given by our President, who is both the head of state and a man whose values are open-mindedness, kindness, and open-mindedness are unquestionably high.
Giorgio Armani founded his brand in 1975. He is known for his elegant suits and minimalist approach to dressing rich women. Since then, the designer has expanded his empire to include beauty and hotels as well as dining. Giorgio Armani also owns Emporio Armani and Armani Prive brands, which are famous for their glamorous haute couture red carpet looks.
Only two other Italian designers received the Knight Grand Cross: Valentino Garavani (in 1986) and Miuccia Parada (2015). Armani is well-known for his philanthropic work in fighting child poverty and raising funds for HIV/AIDS research.
