Premium leisurewear brand Napapijri has reinvented the anorak by creating the Northfarer. This jacket is lightweight, water-resistant, windproof, and free of PFCs.
Napapijri will release five new drops over the next five-months, and five different interpretations of the silhouette that has shaped the brand. This is in an effort to show design, sustainability, and innovation.
“The anorak is our most beloved shape and source of inspiration since the first jacket was created. Northfarer is a timeless cut that we have reimagined and given new life to by using a new, sleek design that takes this classic into the future,” Napapijri explains.
The Northfarer Black, an all-black anorak, launched this week. It features a weather-resistant visor, down-free Thermo-Fibre insulation and an anorak with an exclusive print. The Northfarer Mont Blanc, meanwhile, celebrates the brand’s connection to mountain roots with a special print that depicts its birthplace.
Other drops will be made throughout the year by Fiorucci, Moreno Ferrari, and a Northfarer Main Line release.
Napapijri and Fiorucci, an Italian streetwear brand, will launch their collaboration in January 2022. It promises to be “a celebration of freedom, joy, and self-expression through original, dynamic cuts and outstanding prints.”
In February, a Northfarer Main Line drop will follow, and in April, a fully recyclable Northfarer will be launched in collaboration with Moreno Ferrari. This is part of the company’s commitment to circular fashion, as well as a celebration Italian design.
All Northfarer anoraks for the next five months will be available exclusively at Napapijri.com and Orefici11 Milan as well as at select retailers.
