Charles & Keith offers footwear, handbags, and accessories. The brand confirmed that it will accept cryptocurrency on its e-commerce site as a payment mode, joining the Decentraland’s Metaverse fashion week line-up.
Charles & Keith has partnered up with TripleA, a cryptocurrency payments platform licensed and registered by FinCen. It can accept coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether USDT via its e-commerce platform.
This makes it the first Singaporean fashion company to accept cryptocurrency payments via its website. The service will be available in Singapore, the UK, USA, Canada, Malaysia, and the EU during H1 2022’s initial launch phase.
Customers who own cryptocurrency will be able to buy goods using the new service by scanning a QR code at checkout. This will enable them to pay with their cryptocurrency.
Charles & Keith announced that it will join the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week lineup and will have a booth in a luxury marketplace decorated with the brand’s spring floral prints.
Virtual space will feature the brand’s candy-coloured Koa shoulder bags and tie-up Alex sandals. Avatars will also be able to try on digital wearables similar to physical stores. You can also click through to Charles & Keith website for physical products that match their avatars.
Charles & Keith will celebrate the company’s debut in the metaverse. It will offer the first 1,000 visitors to its booth a complimentary Koa bag or Alex sandals wearables. It will also give away 20 limited-edition micro Koa bags to guests who visit its booth in the real world. Guests simply need to snap a picture of their avatar and upload it to Instagram or Twitter for a chance at winning the accessory.
The virtual booth of Charles & Keith will remain in Decentraland through April 14.
